Description

A fun and irreverent post-game analysis of Super Bowl advertising combines a play-by-play commentary on 2010’s top 25 brand face-offs as well as an assessment of marketing traction gained through this year’s spots.

Our panel is made up of leaders from Orlando’s top advertising/marketing agencies, including PUSH, Fry/Hammond/Barr and Ypartnership. They will mull the difficult question of whether this year’s Super Bowl is a smart marketing investment or a wasted use of budget, especially in light of the current economic climate. Audience participation is encouraged!

You will learn:

• Understand the marketing strategy of the advertisers by experts reverse-engineering the ads.

• Who did the advertisers want to reach? What was the message sent? Did the creative converge with the strategy? Will the ads likely contribute to marketing success?

Pete Barr Jr.
President and CEO

Fry-Hammond-Barr

Pete Barr is President and CEO of Fry Hammond Barr, a 65-person, $80+ million full service agency founded by his father. The firm is known for its advertising, public relations, interactive and marketing communications for organizations including Bright House Networks, Nemours, Stein Mart and the Peabody Hotel.

Pete was challenged to earn his leadership stripes like anyone else. After working in advertising sales at the Orlando Sentinel, Pete joined the agency as a hungry young account coordinator and moved up the ranks for 22 years. He actively serves the community through a variety of volunteer board positions with WMFE, Junior Achievement, Crummer Graduate School at Rollins College, and the Central Florida Fair.

Mr. Barr has a degree from Florida State University.


Barry Lott

As a Group Account Director for Ypartnership, Barry understands how to harness insights, ideas and integrated solutions to deliver results. Currently, he manages a variety of brands including Hilton Caribbean Resorts, Interval International, Nassau/Paradise Island Promotion Board and the St. Petersburg-Clearwater CVB.

Before being recruited to Ypartnership, Barry spent 15 years in New York at some of the top Madison Avenue agencies, including DDB Worldwide, J. Walter Thompson, DMB&B and Carrafiello-Diehl Associates. Some of the blue-chip brands he managed included Hershey, Ireland Tourist Board, JCPenny, Kellogg’s and Procter & Gamble.

Barry is a graduate of the University of Florida.

Chris Robb
Chief Creative Officer
Push Inc.

Leading all agency creative for Push, Chris has more than 20 years of creative direction and branding experience for international brands such as Starbucks, United Airlines, Saturn, Pepsi and HP. After working on the West Coast for large agencies and worldwide brands, Chris returned to his hometown of Orlando, Florida in 2003 to join Push as Partner and Chief Creative Officer. Chris’ move to take over the creative helm at Push was spurred by his strong belief that it is time for smaller innovative agencies to move the creative needle.

Prior to joining Push, Chris served as Senior Vice President and Creative Director at Publicis & Hal Riney and Group Creative Director for Fallon Worldwide. Chris has won every major advertising award including

Gold, Silver and Bronze Lions at Cannes, CA Advertising Annual, The One Show, The Art Directors Club, Clios, Belding Bowls, MPA Kelly Awards and Gold Effies. His United Airlines campaign was named best campaign at the AICP show and was placed into the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Chris also served as a juror at the Andy Awards in Cabo San Lucas.
