Andres Goyanes is Strategic Marketing Manager at American Leisure Resorts Group, an Orlando resort development and hospitality management company. With more than a decade of diverse marketing experience, he has managed projects covering multiple competencies, including strategic planning, lead generation, direct sales, corporate communications and advertising campaigns with experience in diverse sectors to include Business Solutions, Tourism/Hospitality, Real Estate and International Trade.
As a marketing management leader, Andres enjoys learning new marketing philosophies from world-known business authors—such as über-marketer and luminary Seth Godin. Andres holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Central Florida , where he also served as a board member for the Collegiate Chapter of the AMA. Among his extracurricular interests, Andres enjoys learning new languages, traveling the world and public speaking on behalf of the marketing community of Central Florida. Strongly motivated by community volunteering, Andres is also a respected member of the professional Hispanic community in Central Florida. He has been involved with the AMA since 1999 and served as an AMA CFL board member in previous terms. Karen Phillips brings a unique breadth and depth of experience to the Central Florida market. Having worked in a variety of industries – from medical and consumer to high-tech and oil and gas – she has the perspective to replace staid communications techniques with strategies that move people into action.
Since co-founding AndersonPhillips Communications in 1998 with her Houston-based business partner, the company has attracted a broad range of clients such as Shell Oil Company, the British-American Business Council, IHS Energy and the Storage Networking Industry Association. And, as a licensed mortgage broker, she handles new business development for Orlando-based Horizon Home Funding.
Karen’s marketing and public relations work has been recognized through more than 20 regional and national awards competitions, including the 1999 Women of Excellence Award from the Federation of Houston Professional Women.
Karen is a past president of the Houston Professional Chapter of the Association for Women in Communications; is active with the Girl Scouts of Citrus Council; and a member of the Leadership Council for the First United Methodist Church of Sanford. She received her Bachelor of Science in journalism with a minor in marketing from Texas A&M University.

Lynn Walsh, brings a broad portfolio of marketing and event project management experience to Central Florida. Lynn currently serves as the Director of Member Relations for ASCnet. In this position she is responsible for directing the marketing, as well as member communications efforts for the association. ASCnet is an international association representing insurance professionals in 11 countries and territories. Lynn brings more than 10 years of marketing, communications and events project management knowledge to the American Marketing Association (AMA) board. Her breath of experience in working with leading associations, including ASCnet and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers has provided her with extensive qualifications to help build and grow the associations' for which she has served. Prior to joining ASCnet, Lynn served as Director of Marketing for LA Weight Loss, where she achieved record sales volumes for the Orlando region. She also spent six years with a manufacturing association, where she gained tremendous insight into the elements necessary to build and maintain memberships; provide meaningful and informative events, and stimulate membership involvement and growth. Terry Brock is a professional speaker and a columnist for Business Journals around the United States. He writes about technology, marketing and the Internet weekly in his column Succeeding Today. He has been in business since 1983 helping business leaders and professionals to achieve success.
Terry has worked in newspapers since he was a junior in high school. Really! In fact, in 1973, he covered Richard Nixon's inauguration for a community paper where he worked at the time. Terry has been a writer and reporter for various newspapers since then.
Terry earned his Masters in Business Administration with a major in Marketing. Since 1983 he has worked full time as a marketing and management consultant and professional speaker. He served as President of the local professional speakers chapter in Georgia and served for six years on the Board of Directors of the National Speakers Association.

Nicole Marsh is the Assistant Director of Marketing and Recruiting for the Division of Graduate Studies with the University of Central Florida and manages all recruiting and marketing efforts for UCF’s almost 200 graduate programs. She is also responsible for all community relations activities for the Division and is active with several community organizations including the East Orlando Chamber of Commerce. Nicole travels extensively within the Metro Orlando community, speaking about the benefits of graduate education and generating awareness of UCF’s graduate programs.
Nicole is an alumna of UCF’s Communication undergraduate and graduate programs and received her MBA from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College with a concentration in Marketing. She is currently enrolled in the Educational Leadership doctoral program at UCF and was invited to join the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society this past year and is also a lifetime member of The National Scholars Honor Society – Magna Cum Laude.
With over ten years of experience in business development, management and marketing, Nicole has worked with various companies in the Orlando area to develop marketing and overall business strategies including small and mid-sized companies in the technology, aviation and land planning industries. She has also worked with local start-up companies to develop initial investor offerings and business plans and currently serves as Chief Operating Officer for A Plus Shelving and Materials Handling Inc.

Laura Haag currently serves as vice president of communications/marketing for the Orlando Regional Realtor® Association, responsible for overseeing all marketing and communication activities for the association, including a multimillion-dollar public awareness campaign that educates consumers about the importance of using a Realtor® in their real estate transactions. Prior to joining ORRA, Laura was employed at a prominent legal association in Washington, D.C.

Joseph Nardelli is the Director of Marketing & Public Relations for the International Academy of Design & Technology. The Academy in Orlando is one of eighty plus schools under Career Education Corporation. One of the world’s largest on campus providers of private, for profit post-secondary education with a rapidly growing presence in online education.
Joseph is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of a multi-million dollar marketing and advertising budget. Through direct response marketing efforts he is responsible for creating effective and efficient integrated marketing campaigns across multiple media outlets that will generate quality student prospects. With an aggressive direct response marketing campaign you need to have aggressive measuring metrics in place. Joseph is also responsible for closely analyzing the effectiveness of each media outlet and implementing detailed measuring mechanisms.
Prior to joining International Academy of Design & Technology, Joseph spent over six years in the Television Industry working for companies such as Central Florida News 13, Skyline TeleProductions and WOFL Fox 35. In addition, Joseph spent close to three years in a sales and marketing role for a start-up internet company based in Winter Park, FL called ProductionHUB.com. It is currently the leading online resource and industry directory for film, television, video and digital media production. It was developed as a tool for people to locate production products, services and professionals.
Joseph Nardelli graduated Cum Laude from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Joseph is currently researching colleges to attend in the fall for a MBA. He is also a member of the Orlando Advertising Association and the Public Relations Society of America.

Scott Toncray directs the integrated marketing communications (IMC) plan for the Wycliffe Foundation and several other organizations that support the worldwide work of Bible translation, linguistics training, and literacy efforts. Previously, Toncray developed and implemented the marketing and advertising strategy for a regional financial services firm. Prior to that, he worked in higher education administration. Toncray is a native of Georgetown, Ky., and received a Bachelor of Arts from Western Kentucky University 's School of Journalism and Broadcasting, with a double major in Public Relations and Psychology. He also serves on the boards of the Orlando Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and the Lake Nona YMCA.

As Vice President of Sales, Lynnette Leathers uses her 15 years of marketing and sales experience to help build the East Coast territory for MarketTools, Inc. Lynnette travels extensively, speaking to international audiences about customer satisfaction and loyalty, as well as Six Sigma, a statistical methodology for process improvement; and is a trained focus group moderator. Much of her spare time is devoted to the Central Florida Chapter of the American Marketing Association where she serves as President. Lynnette is a Six Sigma Certified Green Belt and holds a BSBA from Montana State University and an MBA from the University of Montana.

Sharon has been in marketing for 20 years in various industries and organizations including Vice President of Marketing at Centex Homes a Top 5 National home builder. Prior to that she ran marketing and Internet programs for Delta Vacations, Continental Airlines Vacations and Future Vacations.
Sharon has also worked in financial services, cable television and research. In the early 90's as a Regional Client Service Manager for Clartias she worked with Fortune 500 clients such as General Motors, Infinity, Mazda, ConAgra, Kroger Foods and many more. She has also worked with many agency and media companies such as BBDO, Chiat Day, Scarborough, Gannett and LA Times.
Sharon holds a MBA from Arizona State and a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Florida Atlantic University. She is a career member of the American Marketing Association holding Board positions in both South and Central Florida. Sharon enjoys her teenage daughter, four dogs and two cats, kayaking, skiing, reading and spending time with friends and family.

Harriet is Co-Founder and President of Konesens Research, a firm specializing in online research and panel development, and international research. She is a seasoned professional with sixteen years of experience in nonprofit management, community education, training, and research and analysis. Karen Kovalsky is an Affiliate Marketing Consultant for the Orlando Sentinel. Karen works regularly with various affiliate partners to identify and attain key marketing goals on both the local and national level. Partners include Cars.com, Apartments.com and CareerBuilder, to name a few. She has been instrumental in organizing and leading some of Orlando Sentinel’s major marketing campaigns to increase the use and frequency of its classified products.
Not only has Karen been linked to the success of many high-profile company endeavors but she has also led a multitude of research efforts, created countless multimedia sponsorship packages and single-handedly produced numerous Orlando Sentinel sponsored events throughout Central Florida.

The President of the self-named Fritz Communications in Orlando, Kevin is involved with not only creating copy, but acting as a consultant and business developer, using relationship marketing to bring parties together. A journalist who has published the fiction novel, Crossover, about an aspiring journalist, Kevin is also a columnist who can tie the loosest of ends together. His background includes 15 years of employment with the Orlando Regional Realtor® Association as its Vice President of Communications and Marketing and executive editor of publications. Kevin also managed the Realtor advertising campaigns, creating new concepts and ideas for the betterment of the real estate industry. Prior to that life, he began his journalism career as a newspaper reporter in New Jersey . He received a BS in Journalism from Ohio University. Kevin was charged with creating a comprehensive new brand for the Realtor Association in 2000, including name change, logo redesign, color schemes, signage, forms, templates, and business/community relationships. That brand is still in use today and recognized nationally in the Realtor industry Kevin is a professional copywriter and has created copy for brochures, print ads, radio spots, and television commercials. His 15 years working in the real estate industry gives him first-hand and highly comprehensive knowledge of the real estate market, its trends, and the marketing techniques utilized to move property. Focused on establishing and maintaining ongoing relationships with the health care community, Dorothy Hardee has served in the role of Patient Services on and off for nearly six years. As the Area Patient Services Representative for the American Cancer Society’s Orlando Metro Area, she is responsible for the implementation and support education and patient services programs in hospitals and community-based organizations. Execution of marketing communications guided by American Cancer Society standards is an important component of the job.
As a graduate in broadcast news from the University of Georgia, Dorothy spent several years in radio, followed by years of volunteer work including marketing to increase awareness and increase membership / participation. Before returning to the American Cancer Society in 2005, Dorothy worked with the Girl Scouts of Citrus Council as the Marketing and Events Manager helping to expand the Women of Distinction event and introducing Chef’s Gone Wild Just Desserts raising funds allowing economically challenged girls participate in Girl Scout programs.
Dorothy, a 2005 Alumnae of Leadership Seminole, continues to volunteer with March of Dimes, Relay For Life and Girl Scouts of Citrus Council. She and her husband, Hampton moved to Orlando in 1983, and now resides in Geneva, FL with their two sons Jim & Steve and two Maltese, Bear and Stewart. Life is good in the country.

Kimberly Webster is a Product Marketer for FARO Technologies, located in Lake Mary, FL. Kimberly manages and creates multi-channel campaigns for the various product lines, works on product launches and coordinates with the Creative Department as well. Charlotte Howell is the Director of Marketing and Sales for A Stat Transcription Service Inc, a leading provider of medical transcription solutions to hospitals and multi-specialty clinics throughout the United States. At A Stat, Charlotte is responsible for marketing, sales, customer relations management, and public relations.
Prior to joining A Stat, Charlotte directed fundraising activities, organized awareness campaigns, and served as public information officer for various nonprofit organizations. At the Lake Mary based, Dynamic Healthcare Technologies, Inc., Charlotte wrote winning sales proposals and was co-winner of the Just Do It! Award for outstanding teamwork. For the Recoton Corporation, Charlotte analyzed product inventory against future projected sales, which brought together the concepts of just in time production and zero-sum inventory. She also prepared marketing presentations, special programs and customer incentives.

Lauren is currently attending her second year of a two year MBA program at Rollins College, Crummer School of Business. The degree consists of a concentration in Marketing and International Business.
Lauren’s work experience includes project management and sales. She has just recently finished a project management internship opportunity with Kforce Professional Staffing in which she conducted an analysis of over 2000 vendors. This project was presented to the executive team to decide if current vendor practices should be altered. Prior to this experience, Lauren was an account manager for Reflections Marketing. This consisted of business to business sales for Quill Office supplies. During her stay she was also had the opportunity to relocate and open a new office in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Lauren’s other interest including project management volunteering. Currently she is leading a project team that is organizing a golf tournament with the proceeds being donated to Homes for our Troops. She has also worked heavily with the Make-A-Wish foundation by planning fundraisers and administrative work.
Jessica Gurtowski Member Value Chair
Jessica Gurtowski is Member Value Chair for the AMA-Central Florida, and also the office/marketing manager for Thomas D. Wood & Company. She manages all marketing activities for the commercial mortgage firms five offices, including their email marketing and trade show participation. Jessica and has been working in the commercial mortgage industry since 2003, and has been a member of the AMA since 2008. She holds a BA in journalism and communication arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and is currently pursuing her MBA in Marketing from Webster University.
In addition to the AMA, Jessica is active in CREW-Orlando (Commercial Real Estate Women) and the AAGO (Apartment Association of Greater Orlando). She is also an avid cyclist and races mountain bikes competitively.
