AMA CFL Open Board and Volunteer Positions
The following board positions and areas of volunteerism are open to members who want to contribute to the growth of the American Marketing Association - Central Florida:
MEMBERSHIP
- Recruiting - Recruiting agents facilitate information such as benefits of membership and show prospective members how they can fulfill their intentions to become member. Through follow up and direct engagement, AMA-CFL recruiters help our chapter grow and become a stronger organization.
- Retention - Retention agents actively engage the members at events or via e-mail or phone communication to spread the word about new benefits, features or future events. Disseminating information about the AMA-CFL will create awareness that outlines the value of becoming a member of our chapter.
MARKETING
- Sponsorships - Sponsorship agents for the AMA-CFL provide information about our Sponsorship Program and follow up with members and non-members to secure sponsorship opportunities that place our sponsor's companies, services and products in front of a captive audience of marketers who can benefit from them.
- Photographers - Sometimes we miss out on documenting the best our events have to offer because we don't have an official photographer. Therefore, we are looking for people who are willing to bring their digital camera and can bring out the smiles out of a crowd. As a photographer, you would submit your images to our Technology team for posting on the web.
PROGRAMMING
- Logistics - Assisting with the arrangement of venues to hold new events and manage solutions for specific logistical needs (PA systems, microphones, tables, etc.).
- Special Interest Groups (SIG) - Planning, organizing and hosting revenue-generating knowledge programs for vertical markets with current relevance, such as Real Estate, Hospitality or Hispanic Marketing.
TECHNOLOGY
- Web Media - This position will manage our web presence and create new content for the website, as well as the enhance current features with the latest technologies and web solutions. Knowledge about web technology, design and applications is required to ensure that we are in the cutting edge of this important element of our chapter's marketing.
- Cvent - We use Cvent to communicate with all members, from eNewsletters to eBlast announcements. This individual would manage all of its aspects (working closely with our Marketing Manager) and support Marketing with regular communication to the members base.
- Job Bank - Managing the content, postings and the relationship with the application provider. This is a major feature of our web site and provides an important element of value to members and non-members alike. Updating the job bank regularly allows the chapter to have fresh opportunities for marketing professionals in the Central Florida area.
MEMBER RELATIONS
- Event Ambassadors - Our AMA Around Town events are no-charge events held in geographically-convenient venues accessible to all members in Central Florida. Members can host one of these events and create value in a more relaxed setting than a structured social event. Ambassadors serve as hosts in these free events and engage attendees to motivate conversations about marketing experiences and successes.
WE'RE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR ENERGETIC VOLUNTEERS
We are always looking for people with great ideas who are willing to plan, set goals and own it for the benefit of the AMA-CFL. Entrepreneurial minds are welcomed for the creation of revenue generating programs (keep in mind we are a non-profit, so we generate operational funds rather than profits) that can increase our growth and influence on the business community of Central Florida.
BOARD MEMBER MEETING COMMITMENTS
We ask all current and future board members for their commitment to attend monthly board meetings as well as our lunch events. As a volunteer organization, we understand that everyone's schedule can shift dramatically at the last minute-so don't be discouraged as your contribution to the chapter is based on what you can bring to our table, even if it becomes difficult to attend a meeting every now and then.
